Why is Konk more cost effective than traditional sleep apnea treatments?

Is an online sleep apnea diagnosis as reliable as traditional methods?

How long does it take to receive a diagnosis through your system?
Konk pledges to confirm all positive diagnoses within 3 business days of completing our assessment, compared to weeks or months with traditional methods. In general, the Konk medical doctors complete your clinical review by the next business day.
Do I need any special equipment for the diagnosis?
No special diagnostic equipment is required at any time – our physicians pay close attention to your interview responses and do not require further laboratory or overnight testing. In the famous words of Sir William Osler, the guiding force of modern medicine: “Listen to your patients – they’re telling you the diagnosis."
Can I use my HSA or FSA account?
Yes, Konk accepts both HSA and FSA – and we encourage you to use it! If you have an HSA/FSA card, you use it exactly like a credit card at checkout – except you never get billed for anything, because you’ve already made the payment by funding your HSA/FSA account. And by using your HSA/FSA (which is funded with pre-tax income), you receive an effective discount on your Konk products equivalent to your tax bracket (e.g., an individual who pays 40% in annual taxes effectively receives a 40% discount on Konk).
Can the Konk bundle be purchased with easy monthly payments?
Yes, Konk offers payment plans in which the monthly charge is about the cost of a gym membership -- and offers even greater fitness benefits. In the form of your APAP device, you will receive life-saving therapy, a wearable sleep tracker that produces nightly metrics, and a medical monitoring system that alerts your sleep team to vital trends. Whether paid for up front or with smaller installments, the premium value of the Konk bundle far exceeds the average monthly cost.
Does Konk offer Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT) for the treatment of sleep apnea?
No, not at the present time. Though Konk understands that OAT is effective for some patients, positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy has been demonstrated to confer the greatest benefit to the greatest number of people. We have designed a system in which we can give you the most benefit in the shortest period of time. OAT requires fitting and customized manufacturing, which takes weeks to process, and has a lower efficacy rate than PAP – but Konk is constantly evaluating our customers’ options.
